Floor Sanding & Polishing at Cannon Hill

Satin Polyurethane Timber Floor Finish on a Pine Timber Floor

While modern polyurethanes are a hard wearing timber floor finish, they do at some stage reach the end of their life. This was the case at a customers Cannon Hill home, whose polished wooden floors had been previously coated some twenty years prior. Fortunately a polished timber floor can be returned to their former glory by re sanding and polishing the floors.

In this home Budget Floor Sanding sanded the tongue and groove wooden floor back to bare timber, stripping the floorboards of the old floor finish. Then after the floor sanding was completed the wood floor was coated with a polyurethane satin floor finish.

The attached photos show the soft duller sheen of the satin floor coating on the old hardwood timber floor and the hoop pine floors. Satin finishes are a popular choice for old timber floors as they are more forgiving of the imperfections present in many old wooden floors. Budget Floor Sanding offers a variety of Timber Floor Finishes to choose from. This was a large timber house and the floor renovation required four days to complete. Including drying time the owners were required to be out of the house for almost a week whilst the floor sanding and polishing was completed.
