St Mary’s Church
It is a Roman Catholic Church at 20 Merivale Street. This church was built from 1892 to 1929 by Ismen and Ibler. Due to the low budget at the start of the construction, the concrete building plan was postponed and several parts of the building were constructed using wood. The present building is well-lit by natural daylight and has rendered white painted walls, dark stained timber ceilings, timber entrance doors, choir mezzanine, and a concrete floor.
Coronation Hotel
Located at 46 Montague Road, South Brisbane, The Coronation Hotel (The Montague Hotel) was first built in 1891. It is a two-story brickwork building with an iron roof. The building has timber French doors and timber sash windows. Iron awning covers the cantilevered balcony and is supported by timber posts.
