American Oak Flooring Finished with Loba Invisible Protect

Our latest floor sanding Brisbane project was this new house in Balmoral. The homeowners chose American Oak tongue and groove flooring in a wider 180 mm width. It was then also necessary to top nail the floor before floor sanding and polishing.

The owner’s desire was to then have the timber floor finished with a coating that would present the American Oak floor as naturally as possible. Loba Invisible Protect was the obvious choice to use. Loba Invisible Protect is designed to finish the timber floor in such a way that the floor almost looks like raw wood with no obvious coating on it. A timber floor finishes at a very low matt sheen level is the best way to achieve this look whilst still protecting the timber floor with a coating. After the floor sanding, three coats of the wood floor finish were applied and this included the sanding and finishing of a matching American Oak open tread set of stairs.
