Floor sanding and polishing this week involved Budget Floor Sanding completing jobs using a variety of finishes. While polyurethane is our most commonly used finish, on occasions customer requests that other flooring finishes be used.

The first photo shows a large floor and stairs completed in a semi-gloss polyurethane finish. This floor was the subject to a previous blog on flooring installation, installed by Budget Floor Sanding a couple of months ago. The semi-gloss polyurethane finish has a lovely soft luster appearance.

The second photo shows a floor finished in a water-based finish. This was a new Spotted Gum floor in an extension onto the rear of a Queenslander in the Taringa area. When applying water-based finished Budget Floor Sanding uses Enviro Pro 2 pack water-based coatings. The clients on this job were keen to use a low odor finish as they needed to remain in the house during the work.

The last photo shows an old Queenslander in the Herston area which was finished in Whittle Wax. This finish is a hard wax finish that is supplied in a variety of sheen levels. On this particular floor, the client chose the matt lustre which produced a soft natural look to the old pine flooring.
