During the school holiday period Budget Floor Sanding returned to Somerville House School to do some additional floor sanding and polishing. Typically this work always occurs during the holiday period when there are no students at the school to be disturbed.
On this occasion, the floor refinishing work was done in three different areas. Old carpet and lino were removed and the timber floors were sanded and polished and finished with satin polyurethane. Two of the areas were part of an old veranda floor which has had timber floor repairs done over the years. This resulted in a floor of different colors and timbers, while not ideal it was still deemed to be more practical than the old carpet. The third area was a small kitchen timber pine floor off the Principal’s office.
This was the third visit by Budget Floor Sanding to Somerville House, having previously sanded and polished the school Chapel and the Borders Dining Room.
