Budget Floor Sanding Brisbane recently finished the polished floors at a large house in the suburb of Hamilton. This house had undergone a large renovation and new Hoop Pine timber flooring had been laid in a large extension off the rear of the house. The owners were keen to stain the new timber flooring to make it look more like the old Hoop Pine flooring which was in the original front part of the Hamilton home.
The first photo shows the floor in the final stages of floor sanding and it can be clearly seen how pale the new wood flooring can be. The floor sanding machine is a Canadian made Galaxy drum/belt floor sander.
The second photo is at the completion of the floor sanding and staining job. The floor has been stained with Feast Watson Prooftint stain and has completely transformed the timber floor’s appearance, it now ties in with the older original wooden floors. The floor was finished with a polyurethane satin finish, this subdued softer finish looks very attractive and suits the old Queenslander houses.
What tint did you use? I have an old Hoop Pine floor that needs staining.
A mix of three colours from Feast Watson Tint range is what we used.
